The FOSDEM 2027 Open Hardware and CAD/CAM devroom takes place on Sunday 31 January, 09:00–13:00 CET, at ULB Campus Solbosch in Brussels. It is part of FOSDEM, held on 30–31 January, and brings together developers of open hardware and free software for designing, modelling and testing physical objects.
The call for participation is open until 4 December 2026. Topics include CAD/CAM, solid modelling, finite element analysis, ECAD/MCAD integration, fabrication, and collaborative hardware design. Talk slots are 20 minutes including questions; organisers suggest around 15 minutes of presentation. Submit through the FOSDEM proposal system, selecting the Open Hardware and CAD/CAM track.
Acceptance notifications are planned for 11 December and the final schedule for 14 December. Talks will be recorded and live-streamed. See the organisers’ announcement and devroom page for participation details.
