FOSDEM 2026 takes place in Brussels on January 31 and February 1, with the Open Hardware and CAD/CAM devroom running on Sunday, February 1 in room H.1309 (Van Rijn).
The track brings together free software and open hardware projects across CAD, CAM, electronics, geometry kernels, and fabrication workflows. The 2026 schedule includes talks on ECAD/MCAD collaboration with IDX, KiConnect, Dune 3D, LibrePCB 2.0, KiCad status, FreeCAD, OCCT 8.0, and open hardware project ecosystems.
