BIMvoice Academy has opened its practical openBIM training library for free. In an OSArch community post, Petru Conduraru says the free material includes courses on IFC schema in practice, IDS, Revit to IFC, native IFC building modelling, bridge modelling in IFC4x3, Bonsai, and drawing production directly from IFC.
The academy page describes the training as practical openBIM education based on real public-sector and infrastructure experience from Norway, together with implementation experience from the Netherlands. It also notes that the workflows use free tools, most of them open source, for topics such as IFC, Bonsai BIM, IDS, coordination, and model checking.
Two parts remain outside the free library: buildingSMART certification training and private workshops. For OSArch readers, the release is notable because it adds a structured training path around open standards and free tools, including workflows connected to Bonsai and IfcOpenShell, without requiring expensive software licences just to learn and test openBIM methods.
